As usual, I make no assumption that this is a new product to all of you.. but I hand't seen anything about it yet, and thought I would share for those of you who don't know about it.
I have been researching various garage door openers, that are motorcycle friendly, for a little while now. There are several options depending on your desire, and ability. Many people opt for just a key chain remote, or even just the normal remote stuffed in a tank bag, or pocket. I was hoping to find something else, and was successful.
http://www.autoswitch.com/index.phpThis is (from what I have seen so far) probably the most intrusive option (as far as your bike is concerned) but I found it the most intriguing.
The autoswitch is a $20 ish module, that you hard-wire into power, the high-beam flash switch, and one of your current garage door remotes. Once installed, all you have to do, is flash your high-beam twice quickly. This action engages your garage remote, and your door opens/closes.
Reasons why I love this product:
1. You never have to take your hands of the grips, or even stop moving for that matter, to open your garage door.
2. Other similar options require you to install a receiver in your garage, but this uses all your current hardware.
3. Now that the autoswitch is installed, I will only have to disconnect, and then reconnect two wires, to a different remote, if I every relocate, or update my garage door system.
